Would you like to learn to...
- Expand your range?
- Enhance your volume, power and sustained voice without vocal strain?
- Properly support your breath?
- Develop control?
- Improve your pitch?
- Create beautiful tone?
- Learn more about your vocal "instrument"?
- Gain performance confidence?
Do all this and more, more affordably, by attending a SMALL GROUP SINGING & VOCAL TECHNIQUE COURSE with A Higher Note.
Description:
- Limit of 4 participants (minimum of 2 students needed for class to run)
- Classes last one hour and meet once a week
- Course runs for fifteen weeks (with two holidays built into the schedule; so the duration of the course is 17 weeks, but it meets 15 times)
- Cost: $450 for the course (See below, "Why Choose A Group Lesson?")
Why Choose A Group Lesson?
- Smart money. You could take a one-half hour private lesson for $25 with A Higher Note, in which you would receive more individual attention than you would in a group class. However, for $5 more per class, group participants get one HOUR of class and and much more content for a few dollars more than the price of a 30-minute private lesson. Bargain.
- The group lesson provides a more formal class setting than a private lesson. This format provides you with more content per class than a one-half hour private student receives per session.
- You receive a notebook containing all of the printed materials for the course, including diagrams to help you understand your body's vocal functions, and gives you space for note-taking. While private students receive many other benefits, they do not receive this notebook.
- You can learn from others' experiences even as you learn. Group classes provide an opportunity for synergistic learning. Other students somtimes think of great questions you might not have thought of; conversely, you might be the one whose question others learn from. Watch and learn from other students' successes and challenges; and be willing for them to learn from yours. All classes are recorded (bring your own flash drive or recordable CD/DVD), so you can learn over and over from the experiences you gained along with your class colleagues.
Two classes will be forming in January 2010, on two different evenings:
- Tuesdays, 8-9 PM; class begins Jan. 12 and runs through May 4 (no class these dates: ______)
- Thursdays, 8-9 PM; class begins Jan. 14 and runs through May 6 (no class these dates:______)
We can work with you on forming a class, too. If you have a friend or two interested, we can form a new class. (Note: A Higher Note reserves the right to add students up to a maximum of 4 per class.)
